Everyone at Ablenet knows we all have unique needs. For some ‘sky divers,’ this means having TWO instructors, one on each side, to create a supportive and inclusive skydiving experience. We’re here to make sure skydiving is an experience you’ll never forget—no matter what!

Here’s what you can expect during your experience with Ablenet at iFLY:

  • Virtual Flight Training in a relaxed environment with your hand picked instructors
  • Your instructor will assist you every step of the way during gear-up, ensuring you’re comfortable in everything we ask you to wear.  All equipment is provided  is rigorously cleaned and sanitised. Equipment includes a helmet, flight suit and goggles.
  • Two flights of a minute each under your Instructor’s supervision, where you will experience the amazing sensation of free-fall
  • Post flight eCertificate. Place it on your wall and brag to all of your friends.

On the Day

Check-in is simple.

Flyers are required to complete a waiver in advance of their visit, which we will send to you.

Then…simply turn up 30 minutes beforehand, meet your Instructor, gear up and fly.

Flyers under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian on the day of their flights.

If you need 2 instructors, these will be available.

All instructors are highly skilled, patient and understanding and will go at your pace to ensure you have the best experience possible.

Accessibility

Need to Know

Participant guidelines

  • Minimum age: 3 (under 18s need parental consent)
  • Maximum Weight: 18 stone (114kgs)
  • AbleNet participants will receive an easy to follow booking form after purchase of the voucher. This will include how to inform us of your health condition and disability as there may be additional requirements we will need to know in advance in order to best accommodate you. If you have any questions, please contact us here
  • Participants will be unable to fly if they are under three years of age, are pregnant, have previously suffered from a dislocated shoulder, or are under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs. If you have a history of heart, back or neck complaints, or any general concerns, it is best to check before booking
  • The venues have disabled access, lifts and toilets
  • Spectators are welcome

Availability

This Off Peak experience is available any time Monday to Friday, during term time. At weekends and during school/ Bank holidays, some flights are available up to and including 11.00 flight time, as well as from 19.00 flight time.

If you want to fly at any other times, these are charged at the Anytime rate of +£25.00

Where

iFLY Manchester is right next to the Beyond building (formally know as the Chill Factore indoor ski slope), and less than four miles from the centre of Manchester. We are opposite the Trafford Centre and conveniently located just off the M60 motorway at junction 10.

Directions from the M60 motorway: Just after you come off Junction 10, head towards The Trafford Centre and take the left turn marked by a Brown Tourist sign ‘Trafford Quays Leisure Village’ just by the Premier Inn. You come out at a roundabout signed ‘Ski Slope’ to the left, follow that sign and you will see us on the left just past Chill Factore.

Directions from the A57: You’ll pass the Barton Aerodrome on the left-hand side and come up to a set of traffic lights with the AJ Bell stadium on the right. Continue straight on at the traffic lights and cross the lifting bridge. Follow the road (and next roundabout) around, passing the Travel Lodge, and then you’ll see iFLY on the right-hand side. It’s a no right turn here, so you must come all the way around the next roundabout, back on yourself. You’ll pass the Beyond building and see us again on the left. Take the left turn into the leisure park. NOTE: If the lifting bridge is up, it can take 15-20 minutes to re-open. There is a sign by the AJ Bell traffic lights indicating if the bridge is closing, and if so, we advise taking the alternative route over the M60 motorway bridge.

Using a GPS?

Our postcode is M41 7JA – but not all systems have proven reliable so you might be better to use our neighbour’s older postcode of M17 8DD.

Ordering Information

Once you book, you’ll receive an email with a unique booking code. We’ll verify and email you a voucher, along with instructions to book. The vouchers have an expiry term of 12 months and MUST be used BEFORE this expiry date.

Requesting a date is easy; just follow the link to our booking page and any medical declaration form to select your experience and dates. Due to the unique nature of what we do, many of our experiences have limited dates and all venues are subject to availability at the time of booking.  Please book as soon as possible to ensure there are spaces available. When you book a date you will be exchanged to the terms and conditions of the operator running that particular experience.
