Get harnessed up for an indoor climbing experience like no other.

The Bear Grylls Adventure Climb challenge is inspired by some of the most breath-taking peaks from around the world, with over 20 routes to challenge yourself on inspired by El Capitan, Fontainebleau and more. Get briefed in our Everest mountain hut before you push, pivot and pull your way to the summit.  Nothing else matters but the step ahead of you.

The action doesn’t end here, as you’ll have unlimited access to The Bear Grylls Adventure Royal Marines-inspired Assault Course throughout your visit date.

Restrictions

  • Age Restrictions: Participants must be 8+ years. 8 and 9 year olds must be accompanied on the activity by an adult aged 18 or over. This adult must have a full activity ticket. Guests aged 10-16 years will need an adult present at check-in to sign waivers, but can enjoy the adventure unaccompanied. Parent or guardian accompanying those aged 10 to 13 is required to remain on site.
  • Weight Restrictions: Maximum weight 136kg
  • Height Restrictions: N/A
  • Can be suitable for wheelchair users depending on the guest. The team would be happy to discuss further upon enquiry.
  • All guests participating in an activity need to complete our general attraction waiver

Car Parking

The Bear Grylls Adventure has disabled parking slots right next to our adventure park entrance. On the day, please enter via NEC Gate 1, where security will direct you to our site side parking. Access will only be granted for those who have pre-booked a space.

Directions – By Car

You can find The Bear Grylls Adventure at the National Exhibition Centre.

It is located just off the M42 at Junction 6.

Please use postcode B40 1NT to find The Bear Grylls Adventure’s car park at NEC Car Park East 5. Please park on the right hand side of the car park.

Parking is £2 for the first hour and £1 for each additional hour. Please validate your yellow token at the attraction to make use of this reduced car parking fee. Please note that car park payment is cashless.

Please leave enough time as there’s an approx. 12 min walk from the car park to our adventure park.

What your day will look like

After arriving at The Bear Grylls Adventure, you’ll be greeted by the Admissions team who will get you all checked in. After presenting your order number, they will run you through what to expect during your action-packed day.

When booking, you’ll select your activity start time and reserve your space. We recommend that guests arrive around half an hour before their first activity start time to allow time to check in, put away belongings and get ready for their activities.

Do I need medical sign off to take part in an activity?

We ask that all guests read over the relevant activity waiver before their visit to avoid disappointment on the day. You can find all adventure waivers here.

Do you have wheelchair access?

The Bear Grylls Adventure has step-free access throughout, and is wheelchair accessible.

Are your activities wheelchair accessible?

We are able to accommodate wheelchair users on our Shooting, Archery, Escape Room, Dive, Snorkel and iFLY activities. Unfortunately, our High Ropes and Climb activities are not yet wheelchair accessible, though this is something we endeavour to make fully accessible in the future.

Are there disabled changing facilities?

The Bear Grylls Adventure has disabled changing facilities for visitors participating in Dive or Snorkel. For all other activities we ask our guests to arrive adventure ready, wearing wearing comfortable active wear you can move in and lace up trainers.

Are there disabled toilets?

The Bear Grylls Adventure has disabled toilets located on the ground floor of the attraction. This is wheelchair accessible.

Do you use sensory effects?

The attraction and some activities use a variety of sensory effects including audio, visual, touch and smell designed to enhance the overall experience of each area. Please speak to a member of the team if you would like more information regarding this.

To qualify for a free carer ticket, you must provide proof of your disability and pre-book it with us 4 weeks in advance of your visit.

We ask that you please book your paid-for tickets on our main website, and then confirm this order number to this email so we may add your carer ticket to the same activity, date and time so you may all take part in the activities together on the day.
